Grateful for the resolution to my wrong parking citation

(a follow-up to my blog of 9/23/24)

So glad, relieved and grateful. The Palo Alto Police Department specialist that said he would help me resolve my mistaken parking citation problem emailed me this morning with good news. He contacted the City of Orange Police Department about the issue.  According to him, the clerk there confirmed our suspicion that the inaccurate car license number was written down.  One letter was wrong – a “T” was put down instead of an “I” on the record.

It is helpful professionals like Palo Alto Police Department’s Jarrod Young, who take the initiative to lighten our burdens and frustrations with a calming resolution — that make a difference for our community.  I thank God for him and his kind and efficient service.

I also am grateful for the clerk at the Orange City Police Dept. for checking the records and quickly admitting the mistake. As Jarrod said, “They were very polite and apologized for their mistake.”

And yes, while we all make mistakes, it is honesty with dignity and respect, and the humility to right a wrong — that make this world better.
